This is an extremely late post for
the season, I know, but I have always wanted to do this since… two years ago?
Might as well get on with it before October ends. So why seven titles? Well,
the number obviously didn’t reach 10 rofl. Honestly, I originally planned it to
be five, then found two more titles on my list. I wanted it to reach 10 to get
this even number, but sadly it didn’t.
Before I start, I’d like to
explain that I am a fan of the horror genre, however, I am kind of squeamish. I
do not like to watch stuff that overly show blood, guts, and gore, but appreciate
more of the psychological/mindf*ck, creepy, crawls-in-your-skin type. To give concrete examples, stuff
I like: Shutter (Thai movie), Junji Ito materials, The Wailing (S. Korean movie),
A Quiet Place, Get Out, It… you get the idea; stuff I don’t like: Saw, Texas
Chainsaw Massacre, Hostel, etc. Eww, please get those away from me.
I’d also like to point out that I
don’t appreciate a lot of Western horror flicks as they rely immensely on jump scares.
Not saying that all of them do, just a lot of them. I, however, do not like to
play horror games because I go into panic attacks when I’m in control of the
character rofl. I prefer to watch no-commentary gameplays on YouTube.
Yato is a minor deity who lacks even a
single shrine. In order to build his own shrine and gain recognition as a
god, he scrawls his cell number on the wall of a downtown bathroom
telling people he will help them in exchange for a 5-yen offering,
becoming a self-styled "delivery god." Hiyori, the daughter of a
respectable family, is almost killed in a traffic accident, but is
rescued by Yato. This causes her to become a "hanyou," a person who can
exit her body in soul form. She chases Yato down, and they begin to work
together to help Yato be recognized. Yato also finds a boy named Yukine
who becomes a Regalia, a "sacred treasure" that can be used by a god as
a weapon to fight. The three of them battle phantoms who bring harm to
humans as Yato's dark hidden history is gradually revealed.
so i got this kind-of challenge from Facebook from some friends and i was tempted to make a list of my own even before anyone has tagged me. i will simply re-post this on my wall if someone does. (edit: already posted, hah!)
these anime will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. a lot of them are old (like decades old), but they have touched my life and they helped shaped my views on a lot of things. they are not in order as i just thought of them from the top of my head. most of these titles are old to our new breed of anime otakus, and these are just a few of my favorites that have really touched my heart. i know that i may have forgotten other titles that i consider as one of my favorites but the list is pretty much limited so just refer to my anime list to see the rest (ones that have a score of 8 and above).
The rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen anime you've seen that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. (going to skip the rest of the rules since they don't apply to blogs or so)
And so, the Chimera Ant arc begins! I know this is a late post as the episode 77 will be released in a couple of days, but I'm really excited about this newest episode. Almost a decade ago, the old Hunter X Hunter series stopped at the end of the Greed Island arc and kept anime fans hanging for the cliff hanger where Gon used the Accompany card to meet 'Nigg'. I do know that despite the manga's on and off status, it has already proceeded on to a new arc, but for those of us who chose to wait for anime releases, this is a nice present to get. :3
With this year's anime spring season starting off since last three weeks ago, I suppose it's time to post my list of animes that I've watched since the fall season last year.

I've decided to make this a regular thing since it kinda makes me happy to see all the progress that I've done with my backlogs. With all the political hoopla going on, I've decided to lighten the mood with this list of things over the past couple of months particularly during the anime summer season of 2012. I've also got reviews to do before this post but decided to publish this first since the anime fall season has already started, and kept out three things from this list.~_~

Synopsis: Something in Okinawa reeks, and it isn't long before Kaori and her friends realize that the smell is coming from dead fish, which are walking out of the sea. The fish are fused to metal legs and are infected with a disease contractable by humans that was invented as a weapon by unknown sources. Finally! An upcoming Hunter X Hunter movie that's worth watching. I was getting a little tired of the remake and this news is really making me excited.
It's August and I'm ashamed to see that I've been neglecting my blog once again. Oh writing prowess that I used to have, why are you used up and where are you now? ~_~
I want to move on from the thing about my last post. As much as I want to drop it off easily in real life, I don't want to drag and prolong it here in my blog. Even if talking (or writing) about it makes everything a bit better in one way or another, I just don't want to prolong it and move on to another topic. So, akjsgdjadblerrrrgh Σ(-`Д´-ﾉ；)ﾉ

I've been misplacing my smart phone a lot these days and I really meant to post some sentimental things from my birthday. However, I left my phone in my boyfriend's car and I wasn't able to take some pictures yet so I can't brag anything about anything at the moment ~_~
Moving on, I decided to highlight instead the many anime and dramas that I've watched since posting from my last update, not including the ones that I've reviewed, though. I'm not going to list them alphabetically since my copies have jumbled up and I really don't think it's necessary to do that.
As you all know, spring animes have already aired and it has been a couple of weeks since I updated my blog on the ongoing animes that I currently watch.
Not exactly the main high light of the episode but I so love giving out these tiny teasers to people who weren't able to watch the old Hunter X Hunter series. :P

The story of Hotarubi no Mori e centers around Hotaru, a little girl who
gets lost in an enchanted forest where apparitions reside. A young boy,

Yes, that's Canary (although it's not mentioned in this episode). Her hair doesn't seem as puffy (or is it poofy) compared to her original counterpart.
I was a little surprised that this scene appeared in this episode. It wasn't shown from the last series, and I'm probably thinking that the producers now are having these scene insertions since the anime is going way too fast. Probably it's just me since I haven't read the manga, ever.
Killua finally faces off with a familiar face. Surprise, surprise. /sarcasm.
I really dislike Illumi's new voice for this series. The voice actor is so-so, but I believe Illumi lacked the inner coldness of his voice. I wish he wasn't drawn that tall and lanky as well. >_<
I'm with Killua on this episode. How did Chairman Netero decide on this kind of tournament bracket? Not only does it seem very unfair, but it seems like Togashi-sama is giving some characters a big advantage. Favoritism perhaps?
