Yes, that's Canary (although it's not mentioned in this episode). Her hair doesn't seem as puffy (or is it poofy) compared to her original counterpart.
Also, I'm a bit disappointed what with Kurapika, Leorio, and Gon open the gate. As far as I can recall, each one of them was able to open the first gate on their own. The characters now seem as if they're weaker compared to the ones in the original series.
