Anime/Drama Recount 042213

With this year's anime spring season starting off since last three weeks ago, I suppose it's time to post my list of animes that I've watched since the fall season last year. 

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Synopsis: A thousand years after a global war, a seaside kingdom known as the Valley Of The Wind remains one of only a few areas still populated. Anime/Drama Recount 102012

I've decided to make this a regular thing since it kinda makes me happy to see all the progress that I've done with my backlogs. With all the political hoopla going on, I've decided to lighten the mood with this list of things over the past couple of months particularly during the anime summer season of 2012. I've also got reviews to do before this post but decided to publish this first since the anime fall season has already started, and kept out three things from this list.~_~

Gyo

Synopsis: Something in Okinawa reeks, and it isn't long before Kaori and her friends realize that the smell is coming from dead fish, which are walking out of the sea. The fish are fused to metal legs and are infected with a disease contractable by humans that was invented as a weapon by unknown sources. After what happens to Tadashi, Kaori finds herself in a new world very much like the old one but with the stench of death. - MAL

Catching Up Again

If the internet has dust, then this post has been collecting quite a lot for sometime now. The draft post was saved from two to three weeks ago!

I've been misplacing my smart phone a lot these days and I really meant to post some sentimental things from my birthday. However, I left my phone in my boyfriend's car and I wasn't able to take some pictures yet so I can't brag anything about anything at the moment ~_~

Moving on, I decided to highlight instead the many anime and dramas that I've watched since posting from my last update, not including the ones that I've reviewed, though. I'm not going to list them alphabetically since my copies have jumbled up and I really don't think it's necessary to do that.

Ranma 1/2

Synopsis

Tendo Akane is a boyish girl of martial arts who is fervently determined to inherit her father’s dojo. However, her father makes a unilateral decision that his successor should be a man. Moreover, he has already chosen Saotome Ranma as Akane’s husband-to-be, unaware of Ranma’s one strange habitude...he changes into a girl when splashed with water!

Meanwhile, Ranma puts up a fierce fight against a dubious enemy as he tries to find the “hidden hot spring” which will help him transform into a normal man!! Akane’s necklace which was passed down from her lost mother seems to be the item that holds the key. Full of tussles, laughter, romance and maybe some tears...! This unique “action + love” comedy with all sorts of unique characters is definitely a must-see drama for all ages. --NTV

Mission Impossiboru

before the year ends, i’d like to close the year with this post. we all know that i’ve been hoarding (and still am!) a lot of downloads of anime and jdoramas/kdramas since for the past few years. it’s actually funny to know that with all the anime/drama titles piling up, there are still some of those that i got from last 3-4 years ago that i still haven’t watched. i know i’m not the only hoarder around here but i’m trying to find ways to narrow down that pile while i keep up with the upcoming and ongoing titles to watch. it’s a near impossible feat so hoarders must work hard!

i wanted to write a review on something, but i’m rather short on time and still very busy so i just listed down (in no particular order) the stuff i watched after watching Jin.

Jin (Season 1 & 2)

Jin Synopsis

The story follows a brain surgeon named, Minakata Jin, who has spent the last two years in anguish, as his fiancee lies in a vegetative state after an operation he performed. One day, he faints at the hospital and awakens to find himself transported back in time to the Edo period. He is soon attacked by a samurai, but he escapes with the help of a man named Kyotaro. Kyotaro suffers a serious injury to the head while trying to protect him, but Jin manages to save his life despite a lack of proper medical equipment. Because of that, Kyotaro's sister Saki begins taking an interest in Jin and becomes his assistant. Meanwhile, Jin is determined to find a way back to the present. -Tokyograph
